Hello All, and welcome to my blog. My name is Peter T. Elliott, and very simply I am a Christian thinker. By this, I mean that I have a traditionalist & orthodox trinitarian worldview.
I believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as one in nature yet three distinct persons. This God created man from nothing, and after mankind fell, redeemed mankind and offered salvation through the second person of the Trinity, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the incarnate God (both fully God and fully man) who became the Mediator of God’s salvation, grace, and love to mankind. And Jesus after he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, sent his Holy Spirit to indwell those who believe in him, his Church. The Church is Christ physical presence on the earth and is to be his hand and feet to this broken world until He returns and fully redeems his creation at the end of time.
And, this worldview shapes everything I think about and everything that I do. From my own marriage to race relations in America, from my daily food to global economic growth, from love of my neighbor to post-modernism. I truly believe that the Orthodox Christian worldview gives the best answers for the most important questions in the universe: Who is man? Why are we here? What is our purpose? Where did we come from? And, where are we going? This blog is simply a place where I express my creative, theological, and opinionated thoughts on current events & problems, and major theological & philosophical questions.
