Knowing Jesus is the sweetest gift, and his presence has changed everything. He is my teacher, master and brother; my atonement and life; my deepest satisfaction and my greatest friend. I want others to know Jesus, and to be known by him. So, I write and teach to that end.
The Boring Stuff 👨🎓
I received my B.A. of Biblical Studies + Interdisciplinary in Historical Theology from Moody Bible Institute – Spokane. I was a graduate & member of the Ancient Christian Studies Honors Program under Dr. Jonathan Armstrong. My primary interests are the Church Fathers and the two Oxford Movements (think C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, and Posh British Writers). So, yeah, I like old stuff.

I am married to my beautiful wife, Stephanie Augusta (just hit a decade!), and we live in the lovely state of Washington. Steph is a nurse and an amazing mom to our three sons, August John, Abel James, and Sammy Clive. I have the amazing privilege of working at Resurrection Church as the Associate Pastor. I lead Hospitality (Sunday smiles), Communications (it’s always in the newsletter), Students (no cap), Men’s Ministry (guys have feelings too), and Church Events (let’s get cookin), while also getting to teach God’s Word on a regular basis.
In my free time, I love spending quality time with my close friends. Most of us are disciples of Jesus. We worship and live life together as a real community, rooted in commitment and faith. We can be found anywhere from Washington state fairs to state parks. We love coffee, beer, and bourbon. We love themed parties and holiday events. And, we love any reason to get together.
I consider myself blessed. Jesus has been kind to me. More than I deserve.
